First Port Stop: Bermuda

Land ho! Our Transatlantic cruise made its first stop in Bermuda — and we kicked things off with style (and wheels)…

🛴 Our first-ever Segway tour — and we nailed it.
Zero falls. Maximum fun. Certified smooth operators.

We glided through the historic Old Town harbor, cruised by pastel cottages, and rolled up to some stunning beachfront views that made us want to drop anchor forever.

🏝️ Highlights:
— Ocean breezes in our hair
— Coastal paths lined with island charm
— Finding out we’re low-key Segway naturals

Afterward? Right back to the ship for a post-port pickleball showdown. Because nothing says vacation like spiking a serve with ocean views.

Bermuda brought the beauty — we brought the balance.

Rouen, France — A Story Etched in Fire

She was 19.
She was fearless.
And in Rouen, she was burned — but not silenced.

I stood where Joan of Arc took her final breath, accused of heresy, wrapped in faith, and flames.

The Church of Saint Joan of Arc now stands in the square where she was executed — a soaring, wave-like tribute of glass and steel.

The modern stained glass windows inside?
They’re centuries old — rescued from a bombed cathedral and reborn in her memory.

There’s grief here. But also glory.
Because Joan didn’t just die —
She became eternal.

🏓 4 hours a day.
💪 Daily sweat, sea breezes, and zero mercy.
🚢 Court battles at sea — and I came out on top!

Some people hit the spa… I hit the deck — literally.
What started as exercise turned into obsession… and ended in victory.

Trophies? Optional.
Bragging rights? Permanent.
Dutch apple pie to celebrate? Absolutely.

Next up: pickleball on every continent? Don’t tempt me.

Rouen Ramble — Where Gothic Towers and Pastry Hours Collide

Cruise Excursion Stop: Rouen, France

Bonjour from the heart of Normandy — where the streets are crooked, the butter is sacred, and the skyline is pierced by spires!

Our day in Rouen felt like walking through a medieval movie set, only with better snacks.

⛪️ First stop: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen — a Gothic giant that somehow feels both massive and delicate. Monet thought so too — he painted it over 30 times just to catch its moods.

🕰️ Then there’s the Gros-Horloge — a Renaissance-era astronomical clock you can literally stroll beneath (and yes, it’s still ticking).

🏡 Half-timbered houses lean over narrow lanes like they’ve been whispering secrets since 1420.

☕ And yes, I did pause for coffee and a pastry so perfect it might’ve been legally protected by French law.

Next up: a deeper story — one of faith, fire, and fearlessness. A visit to the place where Joan of Arc became legend.
