The mammoths died in a sink hole
First bones found in 1974 when digging for a housing project. In third picture you can see red ball hanging from ceiling...that is where the first bone was found..and you can see how deep they are still digging.
They have found bones from 61 mammoths to date.
The building is built around the sink hole for ongoing diggingLes mer
