    End of another build

    H4H # 5 is done
    Another great 2 weeks with alot accomplished and many new forever friends
    Roofing got shut down temporarily for safety precautions but will begin again next Monday
    Inside walls almost complete in second houseand getting ready for siding on first house
    Great potluck on Thursday - Mexican night!!

    Final Build in Dade City - H4H#6

    We are leads for this build
    Had a good team meeting on Sunday evening.
    Fun game night of corn hole - 12 in attendance
    Pot luck Thursday - grill chicken!
    Don and Barb came down for the weekend!
    Enjoyed Tarpon Springs on Friday and hiking in Hillsborough State Park on Saturday
    Houses are moving along
    Doors and windows in first house and getting ready for siding.
    Finishing interior walls and roof sheeting on second house.
    Last of nailing roof Thursday morning just in time for roofers!!
    Tuesday March 1st marked my 6 month anniversary of retirement! Loving it!    Read more

    End of last build in Dade City

    What a great time we have had in Dade City.
    Hard to believe it is time to leave
    Enjoyed this last week with a group of 6 students from Carnegie Mellon U in Pittsburgh.
    Couple of students and a few ladies from CareA Vanners painted mural on connex.
    Of course had to include black butt and Janet's dog Rusty!

    Started new construction
    Will also have a couple of houses with inside work - dry wall, molding,etc (especially if it rains)
    The Affliate had a wonderful dinner for us last night. We also got to meet several new home owners - what an exciting time for them!
    Thanks to Affiliate for providing snacks and fruit at the job site

    On the road again to H4H #8

    Left Florida and follwed I-10 through Alabama,
    Stopped for 2 nights Biloxi MS, and ended in Gray LA
    Nice campground at Davis Bayou - National Park so got half off camping!
    For our last build before heading home we are doing rehab for disaster relief

    Our first Care A Vanner season has ended
    We worked with great people and blessed to be able to help people in 3 different comunities to fulfill their dreams of owning a home.
