This is our first time working with Samaritan's Purse rebuilding homes after hurricanes that hit that area

Date: September 14, 2018
Hurricane Florence was referred to as the "storm of a lifetime" for the region.
When the hurricane made landfall in South Carolina, this area received record breaking rainfall that caused severe flooding.

Date: October 7, 2018 – October 16, 2018
After coming ashore as one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record, Michael made its way across the Carolinas Thursday.Read more

5 states in one day (Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina)
We made it to Charleston, South Carolina!

The Sullivan's Island Lighthouse, also commonly known as "Charleston Light" holds a unique title in Carolina Lighthouse lore as one of the most modern lighthouses in the country. The unique triangular and slim structure, which is broken up into two black and white color blocks, is hard to miss, and is a distinctive local landmark that hovers over the beach scene.
This towering lighthouse is part of the Fort Moultrie unit of Fort Sumter National Monument.

Spent afternoon walking the beach and boardwalk

Had to make a side trip to get our tire repaired ( which ended up with 4 new tires) before meeting Michael, Kathie and Zach for dinner

Ms Jenna's home

Jenna has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair
She lives alone. They are putting in a lift from garage to living level.
This is second time her house flooded that is why it was lifted ( guideline to lift house- flooded more than once - more then 12 inches of water)

We prepped floors, painted walls and started laying floor.Read more

Woody 's home is being dedicated this week and Jim's next week
I helped clean in Woody's home and Darrell & Zach did trim in Jim's home

Day 3 of rebuild

Started morning off with Michael, Kathie, and Zach leading music
Then Zach did morning devotional

Zach and I went withTim to work on Ms Linda' s home. We did some priming then put in insulation in her bedroom.
She had her roof replaced and is so excited not to have buckets and pans all over to catch drips!
She just got put on kidney transplant list.

Day 4 of rebuild

Michael led morning devotion

Me, Darrell and Zach went with Tim back to Ms Jenna's home.
Me and Linda finished all the painting.
I started painting the trim
Tim, Bob, Darrell and Zach worked on flooring

We got to meet Jenna's Dad...he said it brings him to tears everytime he stops by and he couldn't stop thanking us and for all Samaritan's Purse is doing, not just for his daughter but their community
We had the opportunity to pray with him

Woody's home dedication
