    Palacio de Francisco de los Cobos is a Renaissance palace located in the historic center of Úbeda and was across the street from our lodging.

    Its stone facade is decorated with a cross of Santiago and scallop shells, iconic symbols of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.

    The palace is a prime example of Úbeda’s Renaissance architecture, a style for which the city is renowned and which earned it UNESCO World Heritage status alongside nearby Baeza.

    The San Lorenzo area, where the palace is situated, is rich in such heritage buildings, including churches and other palaces from the same era
