Pengembarahummm, the dark chocolate was very good and VERY expensive. $9 for 1 bar. Ridiculous tourist prices. Tequila was $76 a bottle.

Panama Canal (1)

I fulfilled a life-long dream and passed through the Panama Canal. The passage was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Absolutely wonderful.Baca lagi
I also thought it was a real great experience to go thru the canal. It's very interesting on how it works. Many of the doors on the locks are actually the original ones. Did you notice that the captain of your cruise ship is not allowed to pilot the ship thru the canal, but someone who works for the canal and specializes in control the ships and boats is in charge of piloting the ships. Well, when I went thru the canal the person who took over the large site seeing boat we were on crashed our boat into the side of one of the locks and actually damaged the boat, nothing serious but expensive. I saw the accident going to happen and told Rick to hold on that we were going to hit the wall. [TOB]
PengembaraIsn't the canal amazing. Many on the ship have passed through numerous times. One lady friend has gone through more than 20 times and she still gets excited every time. It's incredible how these locks have been maintained for over 109 years. The mules are supposed to keep the ships from banging the sides, but I hear that the sides get banged anyway. In the new locks, only tug boats are used because the mules are useless for controlling the massive neo-Panamax ships.

I've been to Cabo San Lucas, but not San Jose Cabo, where there are those wonderful art galleries & craft stores, looks like a lot of fun. [TOB]
PengembaraThe town was nice and some stores were good, some were full of typical souvenirs. The nice artwork was very expensive. 100s and even 1000s of dollars.
