I walked around Key West, the southern most city of not only Florida but also the US mainland. It's extremely (too) touristy. 🥴

I liked Key West and yes down where the ships come in, it's very packed with tourists. If you had a chance walking up the Main Street which I think is named Devole or something similar you'd get away from many of the tourist and see many different shops. Key West is suppose to be like 4 mi x 5 mi and there are 128 bars, of course some buildings have more than 1 bar. A fun place was Sloppy Joes where Hemingway hung out. Had lunch there two or three times and always have live music. Did get the chance to tour Hemingways house? [TOB]
ПутешественникAaah, sounds nice. I was on a walking tour and the guide was supposed to go to Hemingway's house and she talked so much about trivial stuff and trees that time ran out 😕

ПутешественникYes. We went to see the new locks that are bigger and it was interesting to see. We arrived just as the ship in the pics was passing through. The new locks can recycle 60% of the lake water. I am planning to go through in April.

I went rafting down a river in an inner-tube-like float and then visited an "emerald" pond.

R you going to Panama? R you going to go thru the canal? If so, do not go into Colon, extremely dangerous!!! [TOB]

If you go to Panama City, highly recommend Old Town. Been there many times [TOB]
