From Lake Day to Porch Party

Today’s plan: boating fun with Mike, Sue, Jake, and a few of his local crew. Reality: a whole 30 minutes on the lake before the sky said, “Not today!” and dropped a storm on us. No biggie — we retreated to the porch, where the real MVPs (our old patio furniture) welcomed us like long-lost friends. Still comfy, still squeaky, still holding it down… complete with a dove nesting on the speaker like it pays rent. 🤣

Just when we thought the excitement was over, Birdie — Ryan and Alyssa’s dog — decided to turn our goodbye into a neighborhood-wide game of “Catch Me If You Can.” Spoiler alert: Birdie won. But good news! She was found safe and sound, and without any actual help from us (unless you count moral support and frantic pointing). 😂Læs mere
