• Hat Hair, Don’t Care—NSC Game Day Vibes

    31. maj, Forenede Stater ⋅ ☀️ 79 °F

Today we started the day playing pickleball with Cody and Andrea—I mean, it just wouldn’t be a good day without getting a couple of games in! (No pictures, but plenty of laughs.)

Beth was over the moon today, so excited to spend the rest of the day with Jake. After pickleball, we were ready to roll, and Jake picked us up for our first stop: Superica, a Tex-Mex spot where we met up with his friends Ryan and Alyssa.

Since brunch is served until 3pm, Don, Beth, and Jake couldn’t resist indulging—Don had the Migas Plate, and Beth and Jake went for the Huevos Rancheros. DELISH! Ryan and Alyssa shared the sizzling fajitas, and we all dug into the Queso Fundido appetizer (a first for Don and Beth).

With full bellies and big smiles, we headed to Geodis Park to watch the Nashville Soccer Club (NSC) take on New York City FC—the highlight of the day! NSC was up 2–0 at halftime, but things got tense in the second half. NYCFC scored twice to tie it up, and NSC got robbed of a third goal (still a sore spot!). It was such an exciting match, and even better getting to enjoy it with Jake, Ryan, Alyssa, and Megan.

As a bonus, we all walked away with NSC baseball hats as souvenirs—and Beth also picked up a tank top to complete the look. 💛

After the game, we headed to the square at Indian Lakes. Before dinner, we walked around to see what was new and found this interesting spot called Birdie Bros—a golf store with simulated golf and a bar. What a concept! Definitely worth checking out sometime.

We wrapped up the day with dinner at The Local in Hendersonville, listening to live music in the square at Indian Lakes. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. 💛🌮⚽🧢🎶
