We are off!

What a beautiful day to travel! Unable to get any great pictures of the fall leaves; however the mountains are so gorgeous this time of year with the sun shining on nature’s beautiful colors!
So cool to see all the cotton fields and seeing it harvested! Missed getting a picture of a harvested field. 😢
The roads weren’t as bumpy heading westbound near Memphis and we hit the area perfectly as traffic was light! Check out the Mississippi River … looks pretty low!!
The KOA in Sallisaw / Ft. Smith was a great place to stay for the night! And we’re off again! Today, we plan on driving for about 10 - 11 hours arriving somewhere near Albuquerque, NM.
Crossing the Arkansas River. To the right is where the Illinois River converges with the Arkansas River. 😊
Just read an article about a hitchhiker who hopped a ride on the back of a semi truck from Kansas to Oklahoma & then I see this sign!!!
Driving across the Texas panhandle. Any guesses how many miles across this is? No cheating … we’ll know if you googled it!
It is so windy even the water towers are leaning!
Captured some great shots of the sun trying to break through the ominous weather!
PengembaraBon Voyage to the Wandering Walkers! Keep us posted!
