The roads weren’t as bumpy heading westbound near Memphis and we hit the area perfectly as traffic was light! Check out the Mississippi River … looks pretty low!!

The KOA in Sallisaw / Ft. Smith was a great place to stay for the night! And we’re off again! Today, we plan on driving for about 10 - 11 hours arriving somewhere near Albuquerque, NM.

Driving across the Texas panhandle. Any guesses how many miles across this is? No cheating … we’ll know if you googled it!
ViaggiatoreJust off the top of my head I think it is about 160 miles but interestingly it is also 25,820 square miles, which is 10 percent of Texas' total acreage. The region contains 26 counties and is larger than 10 states. Again, that is just off the top of my head so I might be little off.
