Clinton to Old Saybrook

Short day today to rest a bit. More marshland, pretty scenery, and not a whole lot else. We did see a whole bunch of three wheeled, open topped cars (? ATV's ? Grown up GoKarts?) today and yesterday. Seems to be the official car of the CT shore. We're pretty happy to just walk, eat, and read/play games on phones, though. We're in a Quality Inn, where we've done our first load of laundry. Sadly, no laundry soap. I added a bunch of hand soap from the bathroom, washed it on hot and crossed my fingers. The came out at least smelling quite clean, which was a substantial improvement. Pizza sauce stains remain. Got take sandwiches and salad from the restaurant across the street... no forks. Salad works ok as finger food. Tomorrow we have another 17 miler, heading to New London. 🙂Read more
