Tallinn -> Riga -> kurische Nehrung

Mit der Fähre ging es für uns von Helsinki nach Tallinn. Leider ließ das Wetter zu wünschen übrig, es war stürmisch und regnerisch 🌪️. Tallinn hat eine schöne Altstadt mit sehenswerten Gebäuden. Eine Pause legten wir in einem kleinen Café ein. Dort gab es unglaublich leckere Hefeschnecken mit verschiedenen Füllungen 🤤.
Weiter ging es nach Riga. Auch Riga hat eine Altstadt und unter anderem ein Jugendstilviertel mit imposanten Gebäuden 🏛️. Überall in der Stadt sahen wir Weihnachtsbäume 🎄, auch der Weihnachtsmarkt war toll! Dort gab es auch den ein oder anderen Glüh-Gin und Getränke aus Eiswürfeln 🧊.
Da wir schon im Baltikum unterwegs waren, ließen wir uns die Kurische Nehrung nicht entgehen. Leider sind wir absolut in der Nebensaison hier 😅. Auf der kleinen Insel hatte fast alles geschlossen, und das Wetter meinte es weiterhin nicht gut mit uns. Es war sehr windig und regnete 😵‍💫. Die ein oder andere Düne haben wir noch gesehen, doch wie es so ist, wird es früh dunkel. Michael dachte, auch im Dunkeln könne man bestimmt noch etwas entdecken, und ging Richtung Wald los. Anna fand das gar nicht toll und ist nur widerwillig mitgegangen. Die Nachtbilder, die Michael in der Dunkelheit gemacht hat, zeigten: Man kann genau nichts im Dunkeln entdecken 🤣. Es sind einfach schwarze Bilder geworden... Das hatte er sich besser vorgestellt.
Ergo: Die letzten Tage waren eher unspektakulär.

#We took the ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Unfortunately, the weather left a lot to be desired; it was stormy and rainy 🌪️. Tallinn has a beautiful old town with buildings worth seeing. We took a break in a small café. They had incredibly delicious cinnamon rolls with various fillings 🤤.
We continued on to Riga. Riga also has an old town and, among other things, an Art Nouveau district with impressive buildings 🏛️. We saw Christmas trees everywhere in the city 🎄, and the Christmas market was also great! There was also the occasional mulled gin and drinks served in ice cubes 🧊.
Since we were already traveling in the Baltics, we didn't want to miss the Curonian Spit. Unfortunately, we are here completely in the off-season 😅. Almost everything was closed on the small island, and the weather continued to be unfavorable to us. It was very windy and rainy 😵‍💫. We did see a few dunes, but as it is, it gets dark early. Michael thought that you could certainly still discover something in the dark, and set off towards the forest. Anna didn't like that at all and only reluctantly went along. The night pictures that Michael took in the darkness showed: you can't see anything in the dark 🤣. They just turned out to be black pictures... He had imagined that better.
