Day in the palms 🌴

Today I woke up early and headed to the Cocara Valley in the mountains to see the famous wax palms that can reach over 60m in height! (Trigger warning for Mum: I hung off the back of the car in the journey.. I had to duck a few times to miss trees and I don't think this will pass OHS 😂 video attached)
I had planned to do a long 6hr hike however it was closed for Easter so we ended up doing only 2hrs of a smaller section! I also spent a lot of time chilling and relaxing enjoying the views and nature! I was able to see Black Vultures soaring overhead as well as some of the biggest butterflies, bees and wasps I have ever seen!
In the evening back at the hostel they had a Colombian fruit tasting which was really interesting and saw some fruits for the first time which had unusual tastes!
Later on I had some Arepas in town for dinner which were less than £2 each! Loved it!Read more
