  • Natural Bridges National Monument

    28–30 Mac 2025, Amerika Syarikat ⋅ 🌬 68 °F

The drive from Hanksville to Natural Bridges was beautiful but very remote. I found a great spot to camp for a few days right outside Natural Bridges amongst the pine and juniper trees. It smelled so good. I went into Natural Bridges National Monument but was not feeling well and barely had enough energy to get out of the car at the view points. The cold cloudy weather didn’t help much either. Despite that I enjoyed the beautiful of the park.Baca lagi

  • Muley Point and Moki Dugway

    30 Mac 2025, Amerika Syarikat ⋅ ☁️ 54 °F

The weather was terrible when I got to Muley Point so I opted to not stay the night and headed down the 10% grade of the Moki Dugway toward Valley of the Gods. This road has 29 hairpin turns and is impassable if your vehicle is longer than 25ft. It’s sort of a right of passage though in the vanlife community. Oppy did great but it was a challenge to document this crazy stretch of highway alone. As you can see it was cloudy and the wind was blowing pretty hard as well. I suggest googling Muley Point and the Moki Dugway to get a better sense of what it looks like. In person it was impressive despite the weather.Baca lagi

  • Valley of the Gods

    30 Mac–1 Apr 2025, Amerika Syarikat ⋅ ☁️ 59 °F

The bad weather (clouds and wind) continued as I entered Valley of the Gods. My gosh though this place is stunning. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. It is said to be a free, smaller and less travelled version of Monument Valley, which is often full of people and costs $20 to enter. I would have gone to Monument Valley as well but it was snowing when I was driving through so I passed it by. While at Valley of the Gods I was still under the weather which was fine because with 40 mph winds I wasn’t going out to do much of anything except snap a picture. Even Moose hunkered down. It’s quite an experience to be in a van with high winds like that. I’m just saying. The weather did provide some unique photographic opportunities though.Baca lagi

  • Panquitch to Losee Canyon

    6 April 2025, Amerika Syarikat ⋅ ☁️ 54 °F

I stooped for a night in Panguitch to pick up a few packages, and groceries before heading to Hiway 12 and Losee Canyon, (near Bryce Canyon NP). Inside my package from home was a sweet note from Yury ❤️. Made my day.

My stay at Losee Canyon is in my top ten places I’ve ever been. I am mesmerized by the orange rock formations as they contrast against the clear blue sky. There is something magical about this place for me. I took a lot of pictures but this group is just from the area in front and in back of where we are parked. I’ll do a separate post on the Arches Trail hike.

Losee Canyon is like a free and mini Arches National Park and there is no one here. It’s quiet and so peaceful. I love this place!
