A King's performance and pick up sticks

Another day of unexpected fabulousness. In the morning we were taken to Steve’s performance of the King”s shoes- a performance for 3yrs-8yrs children- so it was on a perfect level for us!! We were shocked by the highly sexualised nature of the play for such young children but this is apparently normal in Belgium.
In the evening we were taken to a BBQ near Hendrik’s home in Wetteren with more talented people although giant pick up sticks became v competitive! The hostess provides costumes for TV and theatre so has a property full of amazing outfits and thousands of shoes- I could have spent a week there! Oh yeah and it was bloody boiling all day!!Read more
