Marcus executed a great day out. Firstly he drove us from Basel to Lausanne.
Lausanne is a beautiful lakeside town, today basked in sun.
We then got a boat for an hour across the lake before taking the “World’s steepest cogwheel train” - with a gradient of 48%- up the mountain for 30 mins.
The views from the top were out of this world.
We then got the gondola down and the bus back to Lausanne. Beautiful day with stunning views of the Swiss alps.Read more

TravelerLou Wolsey Lausanne was beautiful but busy with tourists. The alps were stunning. Would love to revisit in winter xx
