Venice in a day

Up early and after a breakfast on the rooftop of our B and B, we caught the train to Venice.
The train was packed... as was Venice!
Spent the day on the canals via ferry or walking around the beautiful sights of this special city.
Away from the crowds it was more than lovely but every one of the top sights, from Doge’s Palace to Ponte de Rialto , were heaving with hoardes of gormless tourists who didn’t seem to posses an ounce of spatial awareness.
I managed to resist all of the Murano glass and Italian leather that was pleading for me to buy it.... and returned home with nothing but photos. I would recommend more than a day in Venice if there was more time.Baca selengkapnya
