Rome - Colosseum

Another early start but this time it was for the fast train from Verona to Rome.
Checked into our accommodation and then headed straight out to the Colosseum for our pre booked time slot- no flexibility with an European holiday in August!
Spent an hour or so in the Colosseum. Whilst appreciating the history of this structure I have to give it a D for disappointment as so much of it seems reconstructed. Good to see but didn’t make my heart sing.Read more
