Last night in St P-Hermitage Pt 2

We had a quick rest for an hour and then back out to the Hermitage for our second visit - this time to find the Siberian Antiquities and other exhibits we missed on Weds night.
The exhibition was mind blowing and different than either of us have ever seen- the remnants of Siberian burial chambers found in the 1950’s. Sadly they had been looted but still contained mummified horses, carpets, a chariot and many other treasures. Amazing exhibit but shame we had to walk 5kms through the palace to find it in the furthest basement corner. Luckily because of this we had the place to ourselves!!
After this we went to the Winter Palace of Peter the Great. More treasures but luckily not too many so home by 9pmもっと詳しく
