Eagle Festival Day 2- am

Woke a bit tired after yesterday’s excitement not sure if we were ready for more.
We got to the festival site at 8.30am, staked a spot and headed off for a walk whilst it was quiet.
K and I decided to check out the back of the hill the eagles are released from and found a path so up we went.
To cut a v long story short we ended up sitting amongst the eagle hunters as they released each other’s eagles for today’s competition - the ability of the eagles to land on a prey down in the arena.
This was incredible despite the rudeness of some terribly ignorant tourists who got in the competitors way just to get their photos. Luckily most of us were more respectful.Leer más
