Had a v relaxed am and then an easy journey to Gatwick.
Just boarding our Aeroflot flight to St Petersburg.

Well Aeroflot/ Rossiya were faultless apart from landing a mere 15 mins late.
No migration card needed and despite nerves we got through immigration without any issues.

Spent 2 hours on the canals and river of St P with full views of a lot of the sights - The Hermitage, Peter and Paul’s Fortress etc
We then got off the boat, grabbed a coffee and jumped on the busLæs mere

After jumping off the bus at St Issac Cathedral I had to drag K away from the pumpkin horse drawn carriages- she is such a romantic!!
Instead we got 2 tickets and climbed the 200+ steps to the viewLæs mere

After a breakfast of porridge ( trying to keep energy up for a planned v long day) we set off for a 40 min walk to the train station.
A v lovely ticket lady kindly sorted our train tickets to MoscowLæs mere

I was a bit gutted when I roller skated in to the museum playing my French horn that I had to leave them and my eagle and dog in the locker room. At least I’ll know for next time.

So after the Russian Museum we thought we would fit in the Saviour of the Spilled Blood.
