Lecce to Locorotondo

We took a taxi from the hotel in Lecce to the railway station where we boarded the train for Fasano. After the 45 min journey we found there was no bus from Fasano to Locorotundo so a 'taxi' was called. The 25 min journey only cost 30 euro. We think it was the girlfriend of the publican that drove us, but who cares?
We arrived at our Trullo apartment and were met by Marina (caretaker) who couldn't speak any English. Still, sign language can be very helpful in these situations! We are captivated by our unique Trullo accommodation - it's like living in a story book!
Janice & Rob Cain, our life long friends, came to Locorotundo to be with us for just over 24 hours. We chatted for a couple of hours - well, talked frantically to be honest, about our Italian experiences. Rob & Janice are staying at Giovinazzo 20 km north of Bari for 5 weeks.
We then bought antipasto and some red wine from a small store / restaurant, which we enjoyed at their apartment. Gelato for sweets then 'home'.
