Another early start to the day with a tender transfer to Ti-Tam Island, where Roger climbed to the lookout for misty views of the Bay. Kerrie rested her knees!
Back on board the 'Le Journey' boat for an 0945 brunch while the boat gently motored back to the harbour. The journey was quite spectacular with fewer other tourist boats to spoil the photos! We were then bused back to Hanoi.
Roger has a virus, so went to bed. Ian, Yvonne and I got a taxi to Vihanoi Restaurant near the old centre. A delicious meal. We met Hieu & Ynz Le - they own 3 hotels and a restaurant - delightful couple. We then walked to the old centre and saw true street food being enjoyed by the locals. After much effort trying to get a taxi back to our hotel, a kind street vendor called one for us. We had a terrifying ride in the taxi where the driver spent more time on his phone than actually driving. Still, we are here to tell the story!!Read more
