Playa El Valle - how locals are fishing

After a night with heavy rain fall the water at 'Playa El Valle' looked a bit muddy from the distant view of our infinity pool. Nevertheless we went there to enjoy a day at the beach before starting our trip to 'Las Terrenas'.

Arriving at the beach we saw some local guys rope pulling looking as if the ocean is the enemy. After repeating pulling - let loose - pulling every 15m of the beach a second group arrived at our part of the beach coming from the other side. The ropes there were pulling were the end of a trawl net.
The whole village came together and worked together to catch the fishs for the day.Read more
