After leaving the Dominican republic our next stop was Cancun. After just one night and probably the worst Mexican food we ever had, to the "charming, laid-back, Mexico's best kept secret" island of Holbox.

This island is praised for his vibes, turquoise waters, swimming with whale sharks and having a beach with bioluminescence.

Compared to the overcrowded beaches of Cancun or playa del Carmen it really seems to be quiet over here. But nothing compared to the quiet towns and beaches we visited before.Read more
