The toughest day so far- started at 8am and arrived into Walpole at 3:45. 5 hrs riding time and 55 kms covered. Started with patches of sand and then countless hills. In between there was some nice single trail through the tingle trees near Valley of Giants and went past a really nice recreation area at Monastery Landing. Looks like we may stay 2 night's just to refresh.Day of rest was spent cleaning bikes, washing cycling gear, changing tube in front tyre of my bike, doing inspections of the bakery ( twice) and two games of pool a steak Santa and a couple of coldies at the pub. Both feeling much better.Les mer
ReisendeInsanely tough and decided to stay 2 nights in Walpole to recover. Pulled in here this arvo, and i wasn't well at all. Hopefully, dehydrated, and i lost a drink bottle this morning on the trip,so will get a larger one tomorrow
ReisendeSounds like a good idea to rest up. The tingle trees look amazing. Love the photo of Lloyd riding through the middle of one.
ReisendeThe trail looks more difficult than I imagined.
ReisendeThe day sounds tough. Enjoy the rest! I'm sure a pub meal and beer/wine will help.

ReisendeIm sure you are drinking heaps of H2O and using electrolytes. Dehydration sucks.
