Northcliffe

A bit of drizzle last night kept the overnight temperatures up and settled the dust. The Defence Force guys were up at 5am as they were pushing past Northcliffe and camping in the bush. I may have mentioned we were heading to a comfy bed, hot meals and cold beer a few times which was met by the obvious response. Ride was good and mainly on good gravel roads. A bit hilly but average speed was just under 14kph and the 48km ride took 3.5 hrs riding time and we arrived at12:30. We are staying at the Northcliffe Pub even though it is closed today I think we are the only ones here. Rode 2km to the Workers Club ( I had to explain the concept of work to Lloydy but not sure he understood) and after a great Chicken Parmigiana and a 2-0 thrashing of Lloyd on the pool table we rode the 6km home- yes i dropped my bike lock about 100m from the club and only noticed it missing qhen we got back to the pub!Läs mer
