Quinninup

A little cold this morning but soon warmed up when we had to ride back up the hill from the caravan park to find a Cafe that was open. Fortunately bakery was open and warm inside so a lux brekky wrap and a coffee and we were on our way around 8:30. Weather was again very good although there was a reasonably strong easterly blowing and I would say it was the first time we'd noticed any substantial wind- but that would be underselling the impact the eggplant massaman curry we had in Northcliffe had on our digestive systems! Rode mainly through the forest and had to ride over a bridge under construction on a section of path that apparently was closed- Lloyd is a bad influence! We also had to walk through the bush to get around a tree that had fallen right across the path- i thought we could move it but with Lloyds shoulder....Also had a chat to a German guy going south and a couple from Victoria walking through the bush. Good day- 40km, ave 12.8kph and around 3 hrs riding time. Staying in 2 rooms let by the lady( Dale) who runs and lives next door to the Quinninup tavern - location,location, location!!
