Jaco to Montezuma

Same restaurant for breakfast and then we headed off to the ferry at Puntarenas. Always a little bit of a bun fight but discovering that Dan had actually booked for the 10th March (bellend!)could have been a problem but thankfully there was still room! Crossing took about 1.5 hrs and was very pretty. Arrived on the Nicoya Peninsular and a bit of a tedious drive for Derry as all the traffic off the ferry meant it was a bit slow. Arrived at our Chorotega, the place Dan and Melissa stayed last year. Little bit quirky and Freya and Derry, convinced it’s a gay swingers hotel we’re not terribly impressed at first! 😂
Headed to the beach and a few beers later followed by some very good food a ‘ La Naranja’ restaurant ( and some cards), we were all a bit more relaxed. Derry did a good job at looking like he knew what Amberjack fish was when he asked and took a chance but enjoyed his Mango and Amberjack dish very much and Melissa enjoyed her Amberjack curry too. (White filleted fish)
