We had to visit the Big banana again. The kids had a ball going on the toboggan with us and we even found pins for their pin books. We went for ice creams at the jetty and just walked until we hit Muttonbird Island and decided to keep going until we had climbed to the top and over the other side and back. Such a cool spot that we have never even noticed and have been to Coffs so many times before.

We decided to go to White Water World. I think the big kids may have enjoyed it more than the little ones. It wasn’t the best weather so the kids were pretty cold. After a couple of hours we headed back to dreamworld. Addie was desperate to hold a Koala but she wasn’t quite old enough and had to settle with me holding it and her patting it. We had another wonderful day with our friends. The next day we had to say goodbye to Leish, Nath and Vali. We had the best time seeing them and miss them already!Weiterlesen

  • Turtle Sands

    5. Mai 2025 in Australien ⋅ 🌧 24 °C

What an amazing spot to stop. The caravan park is very modern and so well kept. One of the best maintained we have been to. The kids loved the giant turtle pool the most. We ventured to the macadamia farm where the kids loved cracking the nuts and then to Tinaberries for a play and some freshly made icecream. We also visited the turtle centre but we are about five weeks late to see the last of the baby turtles. The kids still enjoyed learning about the turtles and how the babies hatch and make their way back to the ocean.

The Turtle Sands and Bundaberg stop allowed us to reset and get back to fun adventures and exploring as a family. The visit to Macadamias Australia made me realise how much I do enjoy teaching as a career whilst reading the displays an information, my first thoughts were how amazing this would be as a high school assignment and how I could incorporate my travels into my teaching. - Luke

I loved the pool it was so fun playing in it. We got turtle toys and I like them. We also got new swim toys that can swim with us. - Adelaide

Two night stay in Agnes Waters was wonderful! Such a gorgeous spot and we could only get in for two nights but could have easily stayed longer. The beach is beautiful. Addie had fun on her new board and Henry enjoyed climbing the rocks with mummy. We did a fantastic butterfly walk through to the beach. The blue butterflies were gorgeous but hard to take photos of.

As always my favourite parts are all the adventure walks we go on. The rocks with Henry and the butterfly walk with the whole family were the best. - Lauren

  • Mothers Day at Great Keppel Island

    11. Mai 2025 in Australien ⋅ 🌬 20 °C

What a day! We had so much fun and are all completely worn out. Started by buying a delicious coffee before going on the boat only to bring it back up from the insanely rocky trip over to Great Keppel Island. But once we arrived we started our adventures with swimming at Fisherman’s Beach, then went on a crazy adventure past the sign that said dangerous beach access, do not use this access (whoops) to Monkey Beach. We all tried to snorkel but it was a bit tricky for the kids. Being Mother’s Day I got to go have a snorkel by myself. We then decided to maybe find the easier access to get back which meant walking the full length of Long Beach before walking for another hour down the trail. We then had a lovely lunch looking over Putney Beach and Leeke’s Beach.

This is my first taste of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and I loved it. I saw some nice coloured coral and fish and a turtle swam straight past me. We had a fantastic day, with our favourite family adventures. - Lauren

It was amazing to celebrate a beautiful day with the family. Having such a strong and beautiful wife and mother of my children is truly a blessing. The day went off in true Ryder family fashion from sea sickness to taking wrong tracks and carrying the kids once their legs get sore all whilst making memories and spending a great day as a family. -Luke

I loved the beach in the morning. Henry

The kids loved flying planes in the wind along the beach h and through the caravan park.Weiterlesen

  • Conway Beach

    14. Mai 2025 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

What a great stop at Conway Beach! We had lots of fun at the splash park, in the pool and jumping on the big pillow. We visited Cedar Creek falls and went crabbing on Wilson’s Beach. Addie did her school work in the old school diner and was treated to a milkshake afterwards. It was a great quiet spot to have fun and relax.

It’s so nice when people ask if our kids are always this lovely together and I get to say yeah most of the time. It’s made me realise how lucky they are to have all of this time together and get to build such a strong bond with one another. - Lauren

Conway Beach provided me the opportunity to take my children mud crabbing. This felt like a very special moment and made me remember the many times where my dad and grandad took me crabbing. To see something that I loved doing bring so much joy to the kids as well is truly amazing. -Luke

I loved the pool because it had pool noodles and a ball that Henry and I played with. I loved the jumping pillow, we jumped on it and I almost bumped my head. At the splash pad there was a button that we pressed and it turned on the splash pad and we jumped on these jumping things there. - Adelaide

Going to pool and having fun and going on a train ride and I loved the car and I loved everything in the world.- Henry
