Milford Track

Parked at Te Anau campsite night before start of walk next day. Did sea plane ride around Lake in afternoon. Bus to Te Anau down's to catch boat to Glade walk. 1.6km to Glade Lodge then 1 1/2hr nature walk before dinner. 48 in our group + 4 guides.
Next day 16 mainly flat walk to Pomona lodge by 2pm.
Day 3 early start 7.40 walk up McKinnon pass steep to 1100 m Pack Hutt lunch. Drink at memorial point in cold alpine weather. Down through rocks. At Quintin lodge by 2.30. Rob walked to Sutherland falls and had swim there.
Day 4 early walk to end. Mainly flat but 22km. Got in 2.30 for boat from Sand fly point. 16 and 22 out of group. Boat to Milford.
Last morning boat trip around sound for 2 hrs. Dolphins. Back to Te Anau 12.30.En savoir plus
