Tasmania here I come

After 2 years of covid I feel a travel newbie again. Early start at 4am, quick ride with low-key conspiracy theorist Uber driver. Now I’m waiting in boarding listening to the rain in the tarmac.
Love the window seat

After years grounded and months of rain, to rise above the clouds again is a blessing.
Landed

Finally here. Virgin definitely do not socially distance on there flights. Picked up my hire care and hit the road.
On the road

Blown away by the beauty so far. A lot dryer than expected but let’s see what tomorrow brings.
Cabin with a view

Overnight stay in the central lakes area
A great place to see the stars

There’s not a lot going on here but that also means no
light pollution. Not bad for phone camera.
Something new at every turn

Started early this morning. Had to stop every few minutes to take in the sights. Not the most efficient journey but worth it. Saw this doing 100km/hr and doubled back to explore for a few minutes.
Cradle Mountain

This was a journey to get to but completely worth it. 3 days would do this place justice.
Back on the road

The drive back to Hobart is amazing!
Hello Hobart

After a long long day I’ve made it to Hobart. Just in time for dusk over the water.
MONA

If art is your thing, do yourself a favour and be here. It really is an experience.
Hobart

Had to find some lunch so I found myself in Salamanca Hobart.
Mountain Wellington

With an afternoon to kill I decides to go to Mount Wellington. Best thing I could of done.
Let’s explore and see some coastline

On the last morning I decided to explore Hobart a little bit and find a nice beach. Hinsby beach, mission accomplished.
Botanical Gardens of Tasmania

This is a nice spot to come and relax for a few hours. Beautiful and compact.
Goodbye Tassie

It’s been a great trip. It’s going to take me a while to wrap my head around how beautiful this place is.
