Time to get lei’ed

Stuffed our stomachs full of delicious food including a traditionally pit cooked pig! The dessert table was full of colorful treats including a pineapple crème brûlée. All of us were skeptical of the purple bread rolls, but one bite had us raving about the sweet bread.
While we ate, there was a history show about the last Queen of Hawaii narrated through her musical compositions written while on house (palace) arrest. After the luau, we watched a dancing show that took us through the life cycle of a Pacific Islander titled “The Breath of Ha”. I think all enjoyed the Samoan islander’s facial expressions and the fireknife dancers of Tahiti (go back and check program).Read more
