    Today we are up for a long drive. We decided to change plans and head out to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Our first stop on the route is the Glaumbaer Farm which has traditional turf houses that were built in the mid 18th century and were lived in until 1947. There are also examples of Icelandic houses that took over after the turf house early in the 20th century (although these houses have been moved to Glaumbaer from other sites).Read more
