    We continued our travel northward along the Bruce Highway to Cardwell, visiting the Cardwell State Forest and the Cardwell Spa Pool for a freshen-up after our morning hike to the base of the Wallaman Falls. The unusual blue colour comes from magnesium and calcium carbonates, which act as a flocculant with the clay, resulting in a cloudy suspension that looks blue in sunlight.
    We then moved on to Murray Falls to stay overnight and saw our first Cassowary.
