Lake Tinaroo

The overcast weather has turned to rain :-( ...... I suppose we are in Rainforest country. Lake Tinaroo was beautiful anyway, with the low cloud and drizzle. Many people were still out on the water waterskiing, fishing and kayaking.
On the eastern edge of this lake you can visit a 500 year old Strangler Fig. These trees start by germinating in the branches of another tree and send roots down to the ground, eventually killing the original tree. We've seen many of these whilst out walking but this one was immense.Read more
