• A Night at the Pinnacles

    We spent the day enjoying this strange landscape and scouting locations for sunset and early morning photography. It was lovely watching the scenery change with the setting sun. Sunset saw lots of cars and tour buses arriving. We settled down to eat dinner and watch the sun go down.
    We had our camera set up near another couple who commented that they hoped to see the comet as well as the galaxy. As the sky darkened, you could just see it with the naked eye to the right of Venus.
    We were excited to capture the first photo in this series, which includes the galactic centre, Venus, the Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet, and Orionid meteors.
