    Heading to Albany

    Nov 5–6, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

The weather has turned cool since heading South from Busselton. We camped overnight in Sue's Bridge Campground located on the Blackwood River. It was a beautiful spot - very peaceful, with lots of wildlife. We have to get to Albany for Graham to get treatment for his shoulder, so we couldn't stay long. We made our way onto Augusta and the Cape Leeuwin, the southwest tip of Australia where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. Twas a bit chilly.
Once heading East we stopped for a late lunch at Ampersand Estates winery and enjoyed a tasting and platter. Turns out it is a great place to find ? Carneby Cockatoos and other birdlife.
