    After returning from our independent travel, we had one last excursion as a class on our final full day together. Located in Pilsen, roughly 1.5 hours by train from Prague, Pilsner Urquell was founded, and we were able to tour it.

    Pilsen is the birthplace of the beer distillation process that produces Pilsner beers and Pilsner Urquell is the original distiller. While touring, we viewed the bottling factory where rows upon rows of conveyor belts took bottles and cans to be cleaned, sorted, filled, and packaged. We then got to see the vats that make this distillation process happen, and we ended in the tunnels below the complex which stores barrels of beer at the exact right temperature.
