We decided not to take the scenic coastal route because strong gale force winds were predicted. Instead we rode north inland, still was windy. We arrived in San Francisco earlier and easier than expected. We dumped our stuff in the hotel room and headed off to see curly Lombard Street, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf.
