Pelle DuvebladHampi remains one of my absolut favourite places in India so far. There is much to enjoy in a place that is dense yet very chill. This is a stop I can recommend to literally anyone, which I honestly wouldn't day about Mose places I went. I found Hampi easily enjoyable and less challenging than other spots on the trip, and is a nice break from the crazyness of Indian civilization.
Pelle DuvebladIn Hampi I also made a good contact in Rajesh Chitturi through the couchsurfing community, and I wore the wristband he gave me everyday for several years until finally it broke. Perhaps one day I can give something back to him as a token of our shared memories and friendship.

Pelle DuvebladAhmedabad was my shortest stop on the trip, only over one day, but still a short one. I rode on the back of the bike with young local Raj Hooda, and met fellow travelers who had also been hosted by Rajesh that I met in Hampi.

Pelle DuvebladUdaipur was another of the favourites on the India trip. A city with beautiful lakes, loads of temples and great view points. Still hanging out with Gilce that I first met back in Goa, I also met Maddi from the UK who I got to see a few years later in London.

Pelle DuvebladJaipur has its cool places, but I found it harder to enjoy than Udaipur with less green areas and more busyness. However, in Jaipur I met a young man, Rupesh, who left a great mark on me. Kind and caring, his heart was open and poured out positive energy and love, for his family, for his friends, and even for foreigners and travelers like myself. He showed a kind of spirit that would inspire anyone, giving you a sense of hope and possibility. Our meeting is one I will never forget, and I promised him then that I return to check up him. It has been years but I fully intend to keep that promise, wanting nothing more than to give back of that love.
Taj Mahal

Pelle DuvebladSome places are less than the stories would have them. Some are greater and richer than you could imagine. Taj Mahal as a site I found as impressive as the pictures suggest - no more, no less. And with that, I would recommend it to anyone visiting central India. While I was fine during the visit, my stomach was soon in uproar, and the following bus ride to Delhi where the worst hours of my life so far. Somehow, I managed without catastrophic accidents, keeping most content inside until reaching my hostel in the capital.

Pelle DuvebladNo pics. I was sick with stomach ache for two days, and was by this time fed up of pollutions that are ever-present in your senses: sights, smells and sounds. As soon as I could recover, I left Delhi without checking out the city at all.
