• Sunday Roast and an English style BBQ

    July 2, 2017 in England ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

We packed up, left our AirBnB and drove from Cambridge to the nearby town of Grantchester.
Dane rode his bike there and the six of us ate a delicious Sunday pub lunch. I had the pork roast with Yorkshire pudding. We checked out a nearby orchard where the Brits were lazing around under apple trees, enjoying tea and scones with jam and cream. We said our goodbyes to Dane and drove in to London.
Mum and Dad dropped Grace and I off at Jake's house in Bethnal Green. We then walked around checking some of the nearby parks before heading to the Nettle Roof top bar for drinks. It was nice and warm today about 23 degrees.
We had a traditional English BBQ in the park using a one use BBQ with coals. It was fun to try out and the park had a special section for BBQing. A few of Jake's housemates joined us for some Aperol Spritz and we stayed out till the sun went down. Felt typically British!!
