Arriving at the Chateau

We ate a quick breakfast, then headed off in our van to St Emilion. We walked around the UNESCO city before stopping for a picnic style lunch in the gardens of the cloisters. We drove to a nearby winery where we had a tour and wine tasting. On the way to the Chateau, we stopped at the Inter Hyper Mache for food and drinks, a big shopping experience.
On arriving at La Roque-Gageac we saw our Chataeu perched in front of a mountain and just wow!! It was huge and looked amazing!! It had many levels, rooms decorated with antlers, chandeliers, old paintings and fireplaces. There was a pool, a large balcony for dinner, dinning room and gardens. We had French champagne and cheese to celebrate arriving and we enjoyed French wine with our steak dinner! There was fireworks nearby and everything was simply stunning and surreal!
