We went to Belem tower and lined up for what felt like an eternity. There was a very odd queuing system. It was interesting to see but having visited the castles in Sintra already, it was a bit of a let down. We made our way to the new MAAT building which was quite stunning. The display inside was titled Utopoia - Distopia, with ideas of urban cities and their planning. We then said goodbye to Belinda who headed off to Berlin. Dane and I checked out the Time Out market where we taste tested the Portuguese tarts and croquettes. We saw the funicular tram, sampled green wine with a view of the castle, walked to the castle and then back down to the waterfront. We ate dinner at the Time Out market where some of Portugal's top chefs have stalls. The food was excellent and we enjoyed seared tuna and an ox burger. We followed this with ice cream! There was a DJ and bar set up in the park next door to the market where there was lots of happy people dancing and swaying to the music!Read more
