Panorama Route

Today we spent a wonderful day taking in the sights of the High Veldt. We visited the Graskop lift, Gods Window, Berlin Falls, Bourkes Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavelles. On the way back to our lodge we passed through Pilgrims Rest, an early gold miners' settlement. Unfortunately we then became stuck behind a very slow logging lorry, which took ages to overtake, as it crept over the pass. Shortly after overtaking the lorry we came across a bad accident almost blocking the road. Both of these events delayed us returning to our lodge so it was getting quite dark and we had to navigate the potholes on the descent to Hazyview in poor light!Read more
