    Kruger National Park

    2 de mayo, Sudáfrica ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Today we drove into Kruger National Park via the Phabeni Gate, where we bought the Kruger guide and set off down the dirt tracks towards Lower Sabie. Initially we saw many Impala and Kudu grazing near the roads and not long afterwards at a water hole we saw several wallowing hippos and and our first elephant on the opposite bank. Before long just off a dirt road an one tusked bull elephant appeared crashing through the bush towards us. Later a whole family of elephants including young ones appeared blocking the road ahead for some time as they grazed on a tree. Along another track we saw an open area we passed a dazzle of grazing zebra. Driving down another dirt track we spotted a water buffalo in the river so tried to get closer for a better look. It was here that we came across a tower of giraffes grazing the tree tops including a calf. We so The more we looked around this spot the more giraffes we spotted. On our return to Hazyview we saw more giraffes and were slowed down by a parade of elephants blocking the road. When we crossed the river there crocodiles and hippos. Later we stopped briefly at a water hole with more hippos.Leer más
