Day 16 - Rest day in Burgos ❤️

There's something about Burgos! ...

I'm really loving this city! It's not hustle and bustle like Barcelona and Logrono! And everyone has been so kind and helpful!

The receptionist organised an appointment with a podiatrist for me as I have 2 blisters, but I got them early, so should be all good 🤞.. she drained and dressed them and gave me some supplies for further treatment! She was amazing 🩷

It hasn't been so much of a 'rest' day today as we've been running around doing laundry, finding chemists & supermarkets, seeing podiatrists, eating, cathedral touring & just sight seeing! There really is a lot to see & do here!

We met a gorgeous Ozi couple - Karen & Matt - in the laundromat... from Gwelup of all places!! We chatted to them over an OJ while the laundry was being done, so that was lovely! Will definitely keep that connection alive when I return home!

The Cathedral was mind-blowing - I was a tad obsessed with the artwork, sculpture & pure talent of these artists gone by.... the time and skill that went into these stone & wood carvings is just incredible! 🙌

The city comes alive around 7pm! But especially this evening as it's a festive day (public holiday) tomorrow. You'll see in the photos that prior to this time, there's actually hardly any people around!
