Rouen Day 4

Our final day in France. More exploring today, including south of the river Seine, to the Jardin des Plantes. Unfortunately, there is no close by public transportation, so we took the Metro and walked a ways. There were some nice things there, but it's definitely not being kept to the standards of its early history.
We had lunch close by at La Table de Benoit. This was an excellent lunch, with an excellent host in Benoit. We got there toward the end of the lunch hour, so by the time our meals came, the whole place had pretty much cleared out. This gave Benoit the opportunity to get to know his American diners. We talked at length about our travels, genealogy, and food. And it was all in French.
