Edinburgh Castle

Perhaps my favourite site on the trip so far, Edinburgh Castle! You can see the fortress on top of the mountain from miles away. I can’t even imagine participating in the battles that happened here in the past and how the English were actually successful in taking it over. Later learned it was forcefully claimed back and forth many times between the English and Scots. It was eerie looking in the tunnels where many soldiers passed away throughout time.

The view at the top of the castle, the memorials and the Scottish Jewels were beautiful. What a Bonny Sight!Read more
